TSSAA Announces Mandatory Football Meetings Across the State

TSSAA will conduct eight football meetings across the state during the month of April.  The purpose of these meetings is to discuss the new policy concerning “Limited Contact in Practice during Regular Season & Playoffs.”  After passing the new regulations during their March meeting, the TSSAA Board of Control MANDATED that all middle school and high school HEAD FOOTBALL COACHES must attend one of these meetings. Those coaches attending will also be given state “Football Rules Meeting” credit for the 2015-16 school year.  The meeting for Shelby County Schools Coaches is scheduled for Thursday, April 16th at 6:00 pm at Memphis University School

25th State Athletic Directors Conference

 

National AD Conference Speaker to Provide Keynote 
Former NFL Defensive Tackle and the NFL’s leading voice against Domestic Violence, Coach Joe Erhmann will be our featured speaker at the State AD Conference in April. Joe has also published his own book InsideOutCoaching about how sports can change lives. We are very excited and thankful to have Joe share with us on Monday, April 20th at 6:00p.m.

The conference fee is $150.00 for members of the Tennessee Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association provided registration fees are received prior to March 30, 2015. Registration by non-TIAAA members is $200.00. Registration includes all functions, social events, all registration materials and conference gift. Fees may be paid by check or cash. Purchase orders are not accepted.

A golf tournament is planned for registered participants only. The golf tournament will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Old Fort Golf Course. The tournament will begin at 8:00 A.M.
