The SCIAA held the 2019 Small Schools Golf Championship at The Links at Fox Meadows Golf Course, September 18th. In the Girls Division, the Bulldogs of Middle College High School clinched the Championship title in back-to-back fashion while the Soulsville Tornadoes took home Runner-Up with team scores of 205 to 233.
It was a close one in the Boys Division, the Bulldogs of Middle College High School edged out the Explorers of Crosstown with a team score of 393 to 395 with a back-to-back SCIAA championship win. This was the Explorers first year fielding a full boys golf team as they clinch Runner-Up honors.
Kahmya White and Boris Combest of Middle College High School earned Most Valuable Player honors as the top finishers.
Additional top finishers for the girls include: #2 Makayla Harley (Middle College), #3 Tanyejah Lee (Soulsville), #4 Angelique Hawkins (Soulsville) and #5 Mary Cromer (Crosstown).
Boys top finishers include: #2 Rowan Renken (Crosstown), #3 Michael Boyd (Middle College), #4 Simon Lawrence (Crosstown) and #5 Darryl Faciane (Soulsville).
