It is extremely important in today’s athletic world to remain on top of your game, this includes your SCIAA Staff.

Head Athletic Trainer Kai Washington and Athletic Specialist Lecia Schluterman spent the weekend in Atlanta for the annual Southeastern Athletic Trainers’ Association Symposium and Meeting. SEATA offered over 18 hours of continuing education on topics such as “Musculoskeletal Injury Risk Following Concussion: Evidence for Clinical Practice”, “Effective Interventions in the Treatment of Chronic Ankle Instability”, and “Cervical Spine Injury Management”.

The TSSAA will host the 27th Annual Athletic Directors’ Conference in Murfreesboro April 2^nd-4^th. India Weaver, Marcus Taylor, and Lecia Schluterman are scheduled to attend. This is a great opportunity to learn from NIAAA Leadership Training Academy Courses, Special TIAAA meetings and presentations, as well as networking with other athletic directors and administrators across the state.

Sunday afternoon will feature NIAAA LTC courses, The TIAAA Annual Golf Tournament will take place Monday morning with the TMSAA meeting at 5:00 pm , the TIAAA Annual Award Ceremony & Opening General Session will follow at 6:00 pm. Tuesday will be a full day of learning sessions, meetings, and presentations.
